We took the WEEE Pledge – Schools recycling challange

Schools that collect the most batteries across the school year will be in line to WIN some great prizes such as school sport activity packs and Laptops.

We want all our pupils to think big and really push the boundaries. Bring in any used batteries lying around at home maybe ask your parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles to get recycling going in their work place and donate them to our school!

Together we can help collect the most batteries across the school year to be in line of a chance to win!

High Street Books (HSB)

As you know The Parents Association in cooperation with HSB organise a saving stamp scheme so that you the Parents/Guardians can save up to purchase school books.

To facilitate you, these saving stamps costing €5.00 will be available on Wednesday mornings. They can be purchased at the same time as Eugene Euro saving stamps for the Credit Union.

The service is for the Parents / Guardians by the Parents and is non-profit. The only expense is the huge amount of time and effort put in by Mrs Miriam O’Brien and other members of The Parents Association which is greatly appreciated.

If you would like to know more about the HSB saving stamps scheme you can contact the school office between 9am-1pm 021-4866293

Coppers for School Campaign

We are looking for your support. We are launching our Coppers for School Campaign. If you have any loose change or coins on the window sill or in a jar why not donate them to Scoíl Ghleanna Maghair Ìochtaraigh. We have a number of initiatives underway at the moment.

We are continuing to extend and provide better cooking and baking facilities for all the children. The equipment – a new oven, pots, pans, utensils etc.. We hope to raise this money with our Coppers for School campaign.

We are also hoping to refurbish and update our computer room – an expensive but very worthwhile venture, we hope to fund from our Coppers for School campaign.

We will have a jar in each classroom and hope you will support.
